Calling All Bear Fans
Hello Bear Fans,
Spring Football 2010 is upon us and with it comes the start of the 2010 football season. Spring football starts on Monday May 10th at 3:30. This is the first official practice for the upcoming season, but your Bears have been working hard for months in the weight room, and on the field, getting bigger, faster, and stronger everyday during off-season.
Enthusiasm is high for the 2010 Poly Bears. We have made some slight changes to our offense that we know will make us even more dynamic We have begun to install a new defense that will be much faster and much more aggressive. That, along with the fact that we will be platooning this season, will allow us to not only be competitive in the BIG VIII but push our program to the next level.
As we come to the end of this school year I want to thank all of our outgoing senior players for the time, dedication, and hard work they have put into the Poly Football Program over the last four years. A number of these players will be continuing to play football at the junior college level and three of them, David Reyes, David Kain, and Derrick Austin will be playing football at four-year institutions. We have many fundraisers coming up during the spring and summer and I encourage everyone in our Bear community to come out and participate in them. In the coming months we will be holding our annual Lift-A-Thon, discount card sales, golf tournament, and Freshman Passing Tournament. Your support is critical to the Poly High School Football Program. When a Bear steps onto the field, ever supporter, alumni, and fan steps out there with them.
